We all have lives that take us away from doing what we want to do. With jobs, kids, school, and any number of other things going on, it is amazing that we have time to do anything for ourselves. I have four kids and four grand-kids that I do not get to see nearly enough. If it were up to me, they would all be here every day...or at least every weekend! I, like most other responsible adults, have responsibilities that require my attention. I have others that depend on my focus and my abilities. I deal with my "have to's" before I can do my "want to's". Do those other responsibilities mean that we can only be part time Jedi? Of course not. Either you are a Jedi or you are not. It is neither easy nor hard to be a Jedi, you just are. I help out in various ways, I give back to my community in various ways, and I do more than most people realize. The problem is that there is this taboo about saying that you helped this person or did something to help this place. People immediately assume that is bragging when in fact it is not. Sure, it can easily turn into that, but letting others know that you help can inspire others into action. You may do something to help that someone else has not thought of and you saying you did the thing can help even more people. I agree, there is a fine line between boasting and promoting, but if we hold each other accountable then we can help each other see the difference. We are all brothers and sisters in the Force, let's act like it and get out there and help someone. No matter how big or small...go help! Tell us about how you helped someone so that can inspire others!

i've shied away from talking about the good things i've done for fear of being accused of bragging.

Then please do so here...inspire us with what you have accomplished!
